On May 5, 2022, Jones County National Day of Prayer was held at the Jones County Civic Center from 11:30-12:30. The event began with presentation of colors by Jones County Senior High School ROTC and a song selection by the Fellowship Choir. The county proclamation was read by Mayor Wayne Sayland of Maysville and the President’s proclamation was read by Deacon Joseph Walker. Several noon day prayer warriors prayed over our government, churches, youth, seniors, sick and shut ins, Sheriff Dept, Emergency Mgmt, youth, families and the media.
